The Festival Network, LLC (FN) develops, acquires and produces multi-day music
festivals and live entertainment properties in unique destinations around the globe.
FN’s predecessor company, Festival Productions, was founded by George Wein, who pioneered
the outdoor popular music “festival era” in 1954 with the creation of the world famous
Newport Jazz Festival®. FN, led by CEO Tom Shepard, is revitalizing Wein’s legacy by
adding new festivals to the roster while simultaneously invigorating the original festivals
with innovative programming, partnership opportunities and unique audience experiences.
FN internally manages and oversees the development and distribution of content derived from its historical,
current and upcoming live music festivals, entertainment events and sports-related properties.
The archives extend back to the 1950s and include some of the most memorable musical moments from
that period through today. Another division, FN Management, provides artist management services to
a select group of performing artists and producers. Through the company’s extensive network of
festival properties and sponsor/partners and after-market media distribution capability, FN Management
offers its clients a unique platform of services and strategic benefits.
FN, which is privately held, is headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in New York and Los Angeles.
