Experience the tastiest sounds and sights — in San Francisco over Labor Day Weekend! The food may be slow, but the music is fast and hot at Slow Food Rocks, a two-day festival coinciding with the inaugural Slow Food Nation convention. The main course: world-class rock and rock-flavored music. The icing on the cake: extraordinary views of the magical Golden Gate Bridge from the Great Meadow at Fort Mason. This is one of the few public gatherings allowed there this year!
Parking is very limited in the Fort Mason area. Public Transportation is highly recommended. Plan your trip at 511 Transit: http://tripplanner.transit.511.org. Check www.sfmta.com for information on MUNI, San Francisco’s municipal bus and transportation service. Bus lines to Fort Mason include 10 Townsend, 22 Fillmore, 28 - 19th Avenue, 30 Stockton, 47 Van Ness, and 49 Van Ness/Mission. Check www.bart.gov for information on BART, the rapid transit service connecting cities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Bicycles are welcome.
The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition is providing Bicycle Valet Service at the Great Meadow.
