San Francisco, CA – June 4, 2008 –Festival Network, LLC, announces the initial lineup for Slow Food Rocks music festival to be held during Slow Food Nation, the largest celebration of American food in history. Slow Food Rocks will be at The Great Meadow at Fort Mason in San Francisco on Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31, 2008. Grammy-winning Gnarls Barkley will headline the event on Saturday, August 30 with Ozomatli, New Pornographers, and Medeski Martin & Wood. On Sunday, August 31, G. Love & Special Sauce and the John Butler Trio will perform. Additional marquee artists and Sunday’s headliner will be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets to Slow Food Rocks go on sale Tuesday, June 10 at 9 am EDT at www.slowfoodrocks.com or via phone at (877) 655-4TIX. Single-day and two-day passes will be available at the reserved and general admission levels, with a special “early bird” price effective until July 10. To highlight issues concerning urban and global water use, Slow Food Nation is partnering with Food & Water Watch and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission to develop accessible and visible water stations.
